Testimonials from our guests about their World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilington event experience:
April 18th, 2015
“Thank you for everything. We fell in love with World Café Live at the Queen from the moment we walked in there, and we knew Josh would want to have his party there when he saw it. Everything was fantastic, and you made it easy and non-stressful from the moment we started barraging you with emails before we even signed the contract. Everyone raved about the food – many saying it was the best food they’d ever had at an event like this. The rooms looked amazing, with the lights, and the gobos, and the stage, and the whole vibe. Everyone who worked yesterday was friendly and helpful. It made everyone there feel comfortable. It was exactly the right venue for Josh, and you and your crew made the day just perfect.” – Amy Kleiman

“Thank you and your team sooooo much. Everything was awesome, we had the best time. You guys were all great. Everyone told me awesome things afterwards. Someone said they needed a vegan meal (her date ordered salmon for her on the RSVP) but they said the server came back with an awesome vegan meal really quick. I got compliments on the bar staff and the security guard who was helping out, I didn’t have to worry about one thing the whole night. Thanks again, and we will be back soon!” – Angela
“We wanted to thank you and the staff at Live at the Queen for making our daughter’s wedding into a wonderful celebration. Our guests expressed how smoothly everything went, how good the food was, how exceptional the bar was and how unique the venue was. We don’t think that anyplace else could have better captured the moment… The place really looked great and shined! The band really liked playing at the Queen and working with the AV people and the florist was equally complimentary about your staff. It was a beautiful evening! Once again thanks for everything!”- Anon
“The day was practically perfect and all of the staff were amazingly helpful… special thanks to a few people that exceeded our expectations, and made us feel so special on our big day. Marghi saw to our every need, and was so lovely to work with. We didn’t worry about a thing because she was always there. Troy looked out for us in ways we never expected. At the end of the night he went through the venue, making sure we hadn’t left anyone or anything behind. Thank you for helping us to plan and to make the day so memorable! …all the staff, made our wedding so unforgettable.” – Anon
“Wow! It seemed that every conversation during Erinne and Corey’s wedding reception started with “Wow…” After months of planning, there was certainly some nervous anticipation regarding how the events of the day might unfold. In retrospect, March 9, 2013, was totally flawless. From the gorgeous weather, which was totally appropriate for the bride and groom, to the simple but beautiful ceremony, and throughout the absolutely rockin’ reception, one small word described everything perfectly. Wow! I simply had to put in writing how we appreciate you, your staff, and the magnificent old Queen.
As venues go, we’ve all cringed our way into some frightfully gaudy halls, or awkwardly pretended that a boringly nondescript facility was a majestic showplace. World Café Live at the Queen, however, is a unique jewel, like that family heirloom tucked away for generations, its richness only recently rediscovered. A wedding and a reception in a theater setting; talk about thinking outside the box! A hotel-turned-theater, renovated yet retaining the essential character, was someone’s vision that left us with indelible memories. There were a few who just couldn’t imagine that it would work, but by the end of the evening, the stately Queen had charmed everyone.
Good food can charm even the stodgiest of guests. Great food will keep them talking for weeks! We are still getting compliments for the dinner served at Erinne and Corey’s reception. Some guests have told us two or three times how much they enjoyed the meal. We accept all compliments on behalf of the chef and the food preparation staff. Quite honestly, it’s hard to imagine feeding a group of nearly two hundred people and receiving no complaints. None! One of the more meaningful compliments came from my brother, who has made a career as a banquet manager, a chef, and as a district manager for a food service organization. He honestly felt that the dinner was excellently prepared and well served; it could not have been any better. We noticed that he was in line several times, trying everything, and finishing everything. That cleaned plate was testament to a superb meal.
Speaking of superb, please extend our heartfelt thanks to every member of your staff. Good things happen because of good people. Your folks were obviously dedicated to making our day a good one. They succeeded in making it a great one; memorable in every aspect. Working in a service industry can often be a thankless job; I’d like to type pages of superlatives to describe your staff, but let’s instead use the word of the day. WOW!” -Sincerely, Fred Heller, proud father of Erinne, proud father-in-law of Corey
