Sonnder is an experimental indie rock band based out of Philadelphia, PA. Fronted by lead singer and songwriter Ryan Weidman, Sonnder also consists of keyboardist Kat Stein, bassist Steve Iannettoni, and drummer Mike Liszka. Sonnder released their debut EP entitled "Thief" in the summer of 2014 allowing them to expand their reach farther across the northeastern United States including air play from Philly's Radio 104.5. The band is currently in the midst of a year long singles project in which each month of 2015 will yield a brand new song available through the band's website and all online music distributors, leading towards the release of their debut full length "Entanglement" in the spring of 2016. The project has continued to help the band gain more and more notoriety with radio air play from the city's top radio stations and numerous writes ups from radio journalists, blogs, and more. All singles associated with the project have received critical acclaim. Specifically, The January, February, and June singles "Drifter," "Backwards Ambition," and "Siren Calling" received noteworthy air time and write ups from WXPN's The Key. Sonnder recently has shared the stage with bands such The Dear Hunter & Northern Faces at one of Philadelphia's most prominent venues, Union Transfer. Overall, Sonnder plans to continue to stay positive and honest, pushing themselves artistically while broadening their horizons.
Nathan Allebach is a Philly suburbanite and music lover with a style that reminisces of Noah Gundersen, John Mark Mcmillan, and City & Colour.
Nathan wasted no time jumping into the studio to record the debut album "Repose," which consists of old and new collaborative songs and released in early 2015. He sees art as communal and believes that putting out honest music connects people and creates a space for stories to be shared and good times to be had.
Summer Scouts is an indie rock band based in Allentown, PA. The band infuses an electric mix of pop sensibilities with a tinge of post-rock dynamics to cast a signature sound that is both anthemic and intimately heartfelt.
The GoAround, a Philadelphia based rock group fronted by Brothers Alexander And Anthony Saddic, will be taking the upstairs stage at World Cafe’ Live in Philadelphia. Heartside, an Easton Maryland based rock group, will be kicking off the night, followed by Katie Buxton, a Suburban Philadelphia native turned Nashville Folk singer/songwriter. The proceeds of this event will benefit WXPN Musicians On Call, which brings musicians to perform for patients in local hospitals. The concert is taking place in honor of local musician and former guitarist of The GoAround, the late Bradley Thompson. In addition to ticket revenue, The GoAround will be donating 100% of their merchandise sales on the night of the show to WXPN Musicians On Call.
“We have chosen confidently for WXPN Musicians On Call to benefit from the charitable efforts that we are making in honor of our dear friend Bradley Thompson because we believe strongly in the work that they are doing. Music has been a driving force behind our recovery from nearly every hardship we have ever encountered and is equally our means of celebrating and uncovering great joy within ourselves and those around us. The fact that this organization understands the power of music and is using it to bring joy to the people who stand to benefit from it most is admirable and renders them worthy of all of the support that they can get. We have heard impactful stories from our friends who are active participants in these performances and we hope for opportunities in the near future to become involved in some of them ourselves. By simply coming to the show and having a good time with us, anybody can play a role in spreading the music, and hopefully they will return home that night knowing that they were a part of something good.” - The GoAround
