The Slambovians Who Fell To Earth
The Slambovians Who Fell To Earth
A Special Tribute to David Bowie by The Slambovian Circus of Dreams Featuring several classic Bowie tunes and classic Slambovian songs influenced by Bowie AND 'sneak peeks' of new tunes from their upcoming album, "A Very Unusual Head".

Called everything from 'hillbilly-Pink Floyd' to 'folk-pop' to 'surreal americana', New York's Slambovian Circus of Dreams (AKA The Grand Slambovians) "is a riveting, mesmerizing, crazy, amazing machine of music." – Chronogram Magazine.

A rootsy psychedelica that MAVERICK MAGAZINE calls "Mightily impressive and hugely original rock from the cool end of americana", their melodic avant-folk conjures with an exotic instrumental arsenal and a palette of styles ranging from dusty Americana ballads to huge Pink Floydesque cinematic anthems. The Slambovians charm from the first note with thought provoking lyrics - creating intrigue and attraction for thinking audiences.

"9 out of 10 - Love at first spin!" – Americana UK
"Songs imbued with mystical stirrings and idealism... they take the stage by storm!"
– The New York Times
"Super and Natural... I love this band!" - WXPN Philadelphia

Formed in Sleepy Hollow, New York over a decade ago, they pioneered the alt-folk circuit, staying on the fringes of the music industry. Winning support from indie radio and press since their inception, fans fueled their career from the ground up to an international status. Having headlined major music festivals and venues across the US, Canada and UK, this band has a devoted cult following. The band is led by songwriter Joziah Longo (vocals/guitar/harmonica) "Soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic, the entire root system of Rock Family Trees is embedded in Longo's voice." - The Big Issue, Scotland, UK, and joined by Sharkey McEwen (guitar, mandolin), Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, etc), and Felipe Torres (drums, percussion). They create a captivating vibe that feeds the soul.

Band: Joziah Longo - songwriter/vocals/guitar/harmonica, Sharkey McEwen - guitar/mandolin, multi-instrumentalist Tink Lloyd - accordion/cello/ukelele/theremin, melodica and Felipe Torres, drums/percussion.

"They're not just a band. That's something like saying the Bible is just a book..." Fairfield County Weekly

"Mightily impressive and hugely original." Maverick Magazine, UK

"This band rolls over you like a snowball full of heart and unabashed beauty with songs of frightened hope and resistant joy." - JAMBASE.COM

"Rootsy psychedelica - songs rivaling any in a rich, intensely original, defiantly quirky canon." Elmore Magazine

"SUPER and NATURAL... I love this band!" WXPN Radio

"Their fans draw comparisons to the Beatles, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie and Fleetwood Mac. Heavy company? opinion is that The Grand Slambovians are simply the finest indie original rock'n'roll band out there..." Poughkeepsie Journal

"This band reminds me to write and perform with my whole heart and soul." - Dar Williams
