Brother Martin
Brother Martin
The Philly-based indie rock band is led by singer, saxophonist and accordionist, Maria Mirenzi, and pianist, vocalist, Daniel Espie. The band creates a dreamy world that is intimate, powerful, and theatrical, weaving in and out of nostalgia and blending genres of rock, jazz and folk.

In 2015, Maria and Dan began a long-distance, musical collaboration while living in Europe. The first song they wrote was “Martin,” a lament about Maria’s dying dog -- the last track on their debut EP, and the band’s namesake. There’s something so heartbreaking about not being able to say goodbye to the pet you grew up with, but a song would have to suffice. It usually does. “Martin” captures the band’s sensitivity and depth of emotion.

When they returned to Philly in 2016, they formed Brother Martin and continued to write songs about their neighborhood’s lead pollution, political anti-anthems, and nostalgic themes on loss and the passage of time.

Since their debut EP “Led-Son” released in January of 2018, Brother Martin has played in venues throughout Philly, NYC, NJ, Baltimore and Asheville. Their upcoming shows include: Bourbon & Branch on July 31, Open Sound in Lansdowne on August 22 and Plays & Players on September 19th for the Philly Fringe Arts Festival.

In September, they will be releasing their second single titled “As Long As” followed by their first full-length album in 2020.
Flat Mary Road
Flat Mary Road
Flat Mary Road has been making music in and around Philadelphia for more than a decade. The group's latest release, The Score + The Heartbeat, tells stories real and imagined, split between chronicling new and lasting love, and finding a voice in today's absurd and infuriating reality. Guitars oscillate between ambient and destructive grounded in a driving rhythm punctuated with occasional layers of synthesizers and harmonies.
