Celebrate the debut of Dyana Williams' newest radio show Afternoon Delight on Classix 107.9 with a live broadcast from World Cafe Live! Join us as we party with the with closest friends and honored guests of the legendary radio talent and entertainment guru. Small bites will be served between 3 PM-5 PM with happy hour specials available at the bar. The broadcast will be live until 7 PM.

Dyana Williams
Dyana Williams is an entertainment powerhouse. An award-winning broadcast professional for more than 40 years, the Harlem native's career has included a plethora of cultural experiences. As a music activist, print journalist, television producer, reporter, documentarian, Dyana is also a popular speaker at colleges, universities, and corporations globally. Williams is also the founder and CEO of Influence Entertainment, where she has assisted in cultivating media strategies for a diverse, array of talent, including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Mary Mary, Lil Kim, T.I., The Zac Brown Band, Michael Vick, Roy Jones Jr., and Allen Iverson, among others. In addition to sharing her savvy media wisdom, Dyana is also a frequent on-camera commentator for TV One’s NAACP Image Award-winning music docu-series, “Unsung,” where she served as co-executive producer of the highly-acclaimed Teddy Pendergrass episode. Continuing her presence as a commentator on popular culture on television, Dyana is currently the entertainment correspondent on Chasing News with Bill Spadea, which airs each Thursday on Fox 29 in Philly, Fox 5 in New York City and WWOR My9NJ in New Jersey.
Dyana relishes her work as a voiceover artist and for several years has voiced TV One's “Lexus Verses and Flow” series and McDonald’s annual 365Black Awards. Williams is also a go-to commentator on African-American music and culture, appearing on CNN, PBS, MTV, BET, Good Day Philadelphia, and The Tom Joyner Morning Show. The sought-after media maven has also been profiled in the New York Times, Huffington Post, NBC News, Essence, VIBE, Black Enterprise, Ebony, Jet, Rolling Out, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Tribune.
As a music activist, Ms. Williams successful lobbied members of Congress and was elated when the House Concurrent Bill 509 officially passed. The bill recognizes African-American music as a viable cultural and economic entity, and further established June as Black Music Month nationally. Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush both recognized her in the White House. During her tenure as co-producer of the prestigious Marian Anderson Award, she coordinated tributes to Berry Gordy, Jon Bon Jovi, Patti LaBelle, Wynton Marsalis, Gamble and Huff and is now preparing to honor Kool & the Gang for their 50th anniversary for the Marian Anderson Award at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. In 2015, Dyana served a two-year tenure as president of The Recording Academy’s Philadelphia chapter and currently serves on their board.
Williams graduated from Temple University cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in radio, television, and film. She currently sits on the board of visitors of Temple University's Klein School of Media and Communication. Committed to the perpetuation of American culture, Dyana is also a member of the board of the National Museum of African-American Museum in Nashville. A proud mother of three adult children Caliph, Salahdeen and Idia Gamble, Dyana is a devoted grandmother to her beloved grandson, Luke. An avid reader, Dyana is a certified scuba diver, an art collector and loves cinema. When she isn’t traveling for work and pleasure, Dyana makes her home in the city of “Brotherly Love & Sisterly Affection,” Philadelphia and Treme, New Orleans.
