Mark Schultz and the Wayne Rangers
Mark Schultz and the Wayne Rangers
Mark Schultz began playing banjo and guitar in the early 60’s during the folk era. He was drawn to the energy and authenticity of bluegrass and devoted himself to mastering the 5 string banjo. He still hopes to complete that mastery. Since that time he has played with too many bands to count, and has branched out into many other genres. His current mix of music includes klezmer, swing, folk, country, as well as more traditional bluegrass. He lives in Wayne with his beautiful wife Susie and performs with his current band, the Wayne Rangers.
Beaufort
Beaufort is a band who pays tribute to music from folk and classic rock genres. The members of Beaufort are from the Philadelphia, PA area. Original members Jay Popky and Alan Sigman met in the campgrounds of the Philadelphia Folk Festival in August of 1998 and have been jamming together since. Beaufort was born in 2004 when they took their collaboration beyond the PFF campgrounds and named the band after Jay’s place of birth in South Carolina. Today the band is comprised of Alan Sigman on keyboards and vocals, Jay Popky on lead and rhythm guitars and vocals, Pam Graboyes on percussion and vocals, Dave Bennett on bass and vocals, and Chris Gately on drums. And for our October 26th appearance at the Philadelphia World Cafe Live, we are humbled to have Millard Brown and Sinclair Brown from Stu and the Gurus join us to help create an inspired and beautiful noise together!
