First Wednesdays at World Cafe Live: Tones of Home presented by BuildaBridge International.

BuildaBridge International presents Tones of Home, a concert and art-making series for the people of Philadelphia. Tones of Home brings together musicians from diverse backgrounds to amplify the sounds of a united culture against the cacophonous sounds of hate, racism and bigotry.

In addition to the concert, BuildaBridge invites concert goers to participate in community arts programming (music, movement, fine arts, etc) prior to the show. Collaborative art-making helps make better community. Join us. All ages welcome!

About BuildaBridge International:

BuildaBridge is a non-profit 501(c)3 arts eucation and intervention organization. Our mission is to engage creative people and the transformative power of art making to bring hope and healing to marginalized communities (children, youth, adults, families, etc.) in the contexts of crisis and poverty.

BuildaBridge dedicates its resources to building the capacity of communities to fulfill this vision. BuildaBridge envisions a world where all are resilient, experience self-efficacy, and have a vision for their future.

The Interfaith Music Project
The Interfaith Music Project was created by Harold Messinger and James Pollard in 2017 as a response to the ongoing divisiveness and anger overwhelming our country. Bringing together a diverse group of musicians representing many faith traditions, the IMP seeks to bring people together through the power of song, prayer, and fellowship and sees music as a powerful force for healing, understanding and bridge building. The IMP is by design and in every sense, a work in progress. We are constantly looking for new partners, new venues and new music to share.
