Ellen Siberian Tiger
Ellen Siberian Tiger Started as the solo project of Ellen Tiberio-Shultz in 2009, Ellen Siberian Tiger has taken on many forms since Tiberio-Shultz moved to Boston in 2011; from the folky duos featured on the Skeleton EP and Red Blooded Woman EP to the orchestrated 7 piece band recorded on the full length album entitled I Can't Help It, Ellen Siberian Tiger now embodies a unique powerful indie rock band. After Tiberio-Shultz relocated to Philadelphia in 2016, they recorded their newest single, ͞When Men Explain Things To Me͟, with the bands current line up: Collin Dennen on bass and Adam Shumski on drums. This single earned them the title of "furiously feminist" by The Grey Estates. They've been growing steadily as a 3 piece, playing alongside Philly bands such as Vita and the Wolf and Son Step. Their WXPN Key Session featured a video of their song "Cinderblock Cindy" and was listed as the #4 on The Key’s list of top ten best Key Sessions of 2017, right behindPhiladelphia favorite and up-and-coming artist Palm. Ellen Siberian Tiger’s music, with a mix of indie rock, orchestral and punk influences, creates space for healthy catharsis and healing, a space that is important and needed.
Joy Postell
Joy Postell, a Baltimore-bred vocalist, wraps around her listeners with a voice so strong yet smooth it makes your soul feel shaken and held at the same time. Dynamic in her vision as well as her messages, Postell strikes a remarkable balance between soulful sensuality and fierce proclamation. And with her EP "Diaspora" slated to drop in 2018, hers truly is a name to remember.
Queue’s debut single "Falling Into Skies" landed on Spotify’s tastemaking Fresh Finds playlist and was quickly lauded for its lush, moody vocals and chiming guitars by publications ranging from Drunken WerewolftoPause Musicale. They followed with a second single, "More," an aching ballad that Consequence of Sound called "a soft yet scintillating track teetering between dream folk and indie rock.͟Queue went on the road in support of these releases, playing shows across the east coast with Middle Kids, Eighty Ninety, pronoun, Cape Francis and Tall Heights. Afterwards, the band returned to the studio, working with producer Ben Rice at Degraw Sound in Brooklyn. The result of these sessions was ͞Frontier", an energetic fever dream with driving guitars and anthemic vocal melodies. This release would mark the third time the band featured on Spotify's Fresh Findsplaylist and was Queue’s biggest success to date, garnering over 60,000 streams and praise from blogs like WXPN's The Key and The Revue. In December of 2017, Queue released ͞Aimless Kid͟, a powerful first taste of their upcoming debut EP that Indie Shuffle described as "lush waves of electric guitar and electronics, a simple concept turned into something so rich and full."
Grace London
Misimplicity is a collaboration between singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Grace London and bassist Zoe Czarnecki, two teen musicians from Austin, Texas. Elements of alternative-folk, indie-rock, and 90’s emo fuse together on the duos first self-titled EP, Misimplicity.
