The Stooges Brass Band
Widely considered one of New Orleans’ elite brass bands, The Stooges Brass Band has delighted audiences around the world with their unique blend of authentic New Orleans brass, contemporary jazz, and hip-hop beats. Over the course of a twenty-year career, the Stooges have shared the stage with greats including Jessica Simpson, Galactic, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Trombone Shorty, Shemekia Copeland, Pedrito Martinez Group, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Ozomatli, Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli), Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, and The Funky Meters, among others.

The Stooges Brass Band’s notorious party-like concerts have earned the band considerable recognition, including a “Best Contemporary Brass Band” at the 2011 Big Easy Music Awards. They also won “Best Brass Band” in the Red Bull-sponsored Street Kings contest, earning the band a recording session at Red Bull Studios in California. Their sound can be heard in several episodes of the original HBO drama Tremé.

The Stooges continue to tour internationally, performing at famous American venues and festivals including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo, South by Southwest, the Utah Arts Festival, Discover Jazz, the American Folk Festival, the High Sierra Music Festival, the Great American Brass Band Festival, and renowned international festivals including the Edinburgh Jazz Festival, the Durham Brass Festival, the Festival International Nuits d’Afrique, and the Tremblant Blues Festival. They have also served as cultural ambassadors to Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
The Crooked Vines
Funk-pop collective The Crooked Vines brings exciting funk-fueled jams to the live stage punctuated by gritty rhythm sections, distorted keyboards, and hard-hitting horn lines. Featuring Mikayla Braun, bassist Stephen Bohnstengel, drummer Woody Hill, keyboardist Steven Schwartz, saxophonist Lori LaPatka, and trombonist James Keene, the ensemble is a staple at legendary New Orleans haunts including Tipitina’s, The Howlin’ Wolf, the Hi-Ho Lounge, and Gasa Gasa.

The band released their debut self-titled album in October 2015, and have opened for renowned acts including the Rebirth Brass Band, George Porter, Jr., Cyril Neville, John “Papa” Gros (Papa Grows Funk), Brass-A-Holics, and Marbin, among others.
