Michael Conrad
Michael Conrad
As an already established voice the Los Angeles alt rock music scene, Michael Conrad is a fresh and innovative talent whose unique blend of genres delivers an unmatched musical experience. From his beginnings in small town New England, Michael moved out to Los Angeles to pursue his love of music and poetry. His repertoire consists of multiple yet complimentary styles such as indie rock, alt rock, folk, roots rock, funky blues, contemporary rap, all of which culminate into a truly unforgettable auditory experience.

On Election Day of 2017, Michael Conrad debuted his first single “Progress” – an exploration of socioeconomic issues, inequality, and love of power. Accompanied with a music video directed by his brother and long-time collaborator, the song is available now on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play. It was recorded at 17th Street Recording Studio in Costa Mesa with well-known local producer, Lew Richards. Lew has worked with artists such as Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, The Dirty Heads, and Micha Brown to name a few. The single hit radio stations in California, Hawaii, Boston, Austin, Atlanta and Nashville areas respectively, and Michael toured throughout California.

Another release came in May of 2017, an EP entitled “The Remains of a Hibiscus Sky,” a story of love and loss told in a refreshing Hawaiian-folk style. Along with the iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play release, Good Evening Entertainment rolled out a two-song music video shot on location in the Hawaiian islands, which is available for viewing on Vimeo.

Michael Conrad’s latest concept album, “BLACKFISH (or, the Journey to the Bottom of the Ocean)” -- a semi-autobiographical piece about his adolescent years and growing up on the beaches of Rhode Island -- is set to release later this fall. His thirteen-track piece features a familiar song from “The Remains of a Hibiscus Sky,” but introduces new, passionate and inventive music that showcases the talent powerhouse that is Michael Conrad.
