The Bushwick Hotel
The Bushwick Hotel
The Bushwick Hotel is a reimagining and reinterpretation of classic rock n' roll flavor with modern retooling. "The band embraces today's hybrid genres with touches of brass-band jazz and garage blues. The combination of sounds and conventions handpicked from the last fifty years of rock history combine into a potent, unexpected brew." -Jack McManus Relix

Originally a solo effort by Gregory Ferreira, the band found each other in the busy Brooklyn music scene and through the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, Graffiti of the Young Man’s Mind, they began to hone their craft. Calling on Elvis Costello, Band of Horses, David Bowie, The Band, and Van Morrison for inspiration, The Bushwick Hotel add exotic touches from each band member’s diverse backgrounds throughout the record. This band of outsiders includes Hitomi Nakamura Cintron (Drums), Kenny Cintron (Bass), Gregory Ferreira (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Piano, Organ, Percussion), Rudy Temiz (Guitar & Slide Guitar), Matt La Von (Sax, Clarinet, Flute, Background Vocals) along with rotating horn section to fill out the stage during live performances.
Marco With Love
Marco With Love’s Cosmic American country fried boogie-woogie Rock ‘N’ Roll has a vibrant sound that gives a nod to influences such as The Flying Burrito Brothers, Tom Petty, The Byrds, and The Traveling Wilburys. The band has been touring behind their 2016 release “Smothered & Covered,” playing successful shows throughout NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Austin, Richmond, Florida, Toronto, London and beyond. They have opened for nationally touring artists including Courtney Barnett and Lindi Ortega, performed at SXSW, CMJ, CBGB’s Fest, rocked on a sold-out bill at Irving Plaza, and kicked off 2017 with the band’s first ever show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. Marco With Love is currently working on new material for a follow up LP and looking forward to continuing to spread the gospel of Rock ‘n’ Roll music.

Their live show embodies the energy and raw attitude of The Ramones, The New York Dolls, and The Strokes. “Marco Argiro’s amazing charisma blasts from the stage, capturing anyone in its path.” (BBC Guernsey)

The band is very passionate, easily created an emotional immediacy with the audience and has an aggressive drive that got the crowd moving, bopping around and shaking their heads in unison to the catchy and propulsive rhythms. (Black on the canvas)

Tidal Wave is a hook-filled Power Pop song in the best sense of the word — in the same vein as Nada Surf (think Hi-Speed Soul from 2002’s Let Go) and early ‘90s The Posies — featuring thumping bass, vigorous drums, and an insistent, scorching pedal steel guitar solo that’s to die for. (Volt and Volume)

Promised Land is a ray of California sunshine down a Costello-filtered New York street, and includes an Americana-strut cover of Tom Petty’s “Anything That’s Rock n’ Roll”. (Crave Online)

Blending frontman Marco Argiros coarse, smoker’s voice and a country inspired pedal steel guitar, Marco With Love encapsulates all of the ingredients of the Country Fried Rock hashtag on their SoundCloud page, producing that authentic rock n roll sound. (Baeble Music)

The entire record is solid. (Nylon Magazine, Josh Madden)

The palette for the vocal is set to a shimmering guitar and lap-steel allowing Big Black Dog to both have the signature melodic sounds of the band, whilst percussion lays the more confrontational nature of the lyric. (Emerging Indie Bands)

The group manages to present a contemporary take on rock n roll, all while paying homage to Laurel Canyon-esque, folk influenced rock of the 1960s and 70s. (Baeble Music)
