It seemed that every conversation during Erinne and Corey’s wedding reception started with “Wow…” After months of planning, there was certainly some nervous anticipation regarding how the events of the day might unfold. In retrospect, March 9, 2013, was totally flawless. From the gorgeous weather, which was totally appropriate for the bride and groom, to the simple but beautiful ceremony, and throughout the absolutely rockin’ reception, one small word described everything perfectly. Wow! I simply had to put in writing how we appreciate you, your staff, and the magnificent old Queen.
As venues go, we’ve all cringed our way into some frightfully gaudy halls, or awkwardly pretended that a boringly nondescript facility was a majestic showplace. World Café Live at the Queen, however, is a unique jewel, like that family heirloom tucked away for generations, its richness only recently rediscovered. A wedding and a reception in a theater setting; talk about thinking outside the box! A hotel-turned-theater, renovated yet retaining the essential character, was someone’s vision that left us with indelible memories. There were a few who just couldn’t imagine that it would work, but by the end of the evening, the stately Queen had charmed everyone.
Good food can charm even the stodgiest of guests. Great food will keep them talking for weeks! We are still getting compliments for the dinner served at Erinne and Corey’s reception. Some guests have told us two or three times how much they enjoyed the meal. We accept all compliments on behalf of the chef and the food preparation staff. Quite honestly, it’s hard to imagine feeding a group of nearly two hundred people and receiving no complaints. None! One of the more meaningful compliments came from my brother, who has made a career as a banquet manager, a chef, and as a district manager for a food service organization. He honestly felt that the dinner was excellently prepared and well served; it could not have been any better. We noticed that he was in line several times, trying everything, and finishing everything. That cleaned plate was testament to a superb meal.
Speaking of superb, please extend our heartfelt thanks to every member of your staff. Good things happen because of good people. Your folks were obviously dedicated to making our day a good one. They succeeded in making it a great one; memorable in every aspect. We offer a variety of parking options for both entrances to our venue, including street parking and lot parking. Those public lots can be found here. We understand the complications of city parking, and can offer you valet parking for your event at an additional charge.
