The Honey Badgers
The Honey Badgers
A folk/americana duet from Newark, Delaware, comprised of Erin Magnin and Michael Natrin. Imagine Ingrid Michaelson & Regina Spektor singing with Paul Simon and Bob Dylan, except they're stuck in Delaware and have a harmonium, are obsessed with cats, and ride scooters.

--

Sometimes, a voice will hit you unexpectedly and come across all at once as pure and refined and innocent. This is what happened when the duet known as The Honey Badgers met in 2007. It took a few years of convincing, but eventually singer-songwriter Michael Natrin won over Erin Magnin. She joined him with her violin and vocal chords, and after rehearsing and writing together for less than a year, they officially became the duet known as The Honey Badgers. Mixing her jazzy soprano with his folksy sailor tunes, they began performing to very responsive crowds. With the release of their debut EP entitled Booth Bay, they plan to bring you along with them to a very authentic and harmonious musical destination. Co-winners of the WSTW Hometown Heroes Homey Award for Best Collaboration of 2011, winner of the 2012 SCPAB battle of the bands.
Widow Maker Social Club
Widow Maker Social Club
The 5 members of Widow Maker Social Club have been together for a long time. Not since college or even high school, rather, going to Kindergarten with each other, buying first instruments together, getting through the awkward early 20’s together, old band breakups to new band makeups, becoming uncles together and burying their loved ones together. They do all things together.

Lead Vocalist and Pianist Matthew Ooi started crafting the band’s early songs in the childhood home of drummer Michael O’Boyle over 3 years ago in Wilmington, Delaware. The addition of bassist Nicholas DeMaio and guitarists Jose Lopez and Christopher DeJoseph completed the original lineup and the band spent its 1st year in an unfinished basement writing what would become their debut EP entitled ‘Revolutions’.
The goal of the EP was to show how 5 musicians who grew up in their respective music scenes could show their growth and maturity from their prior releases.

Widow Maker Social Club delivered and continues to deliver songs that have a strong backbeat and Show Tune-quality 3 part vocal delivery. They accurately write lyrics that are identifiable not only among their own peers, but younger teens experiencing love for the first time to their parents trying to understand all of the reasons life is difficult.

Their live shows display their obsessive characteristics towards rehearsal and their undying promise to deliver the best performance no matter how big or small the venue or crowd may be. They have been known to switch instruments many times throughout the set O'Boyle is credited for 3 instruments in the most recent recording, 'Get Closer' While Ooi and Lopez have 2 each as well. .The crowd watches with a fascinated attention between songs due to the band’s unpredictable nature and instrumentation.

Other than June 2013’s ‘Revolutions’, Widow Maker Social Club has recorded another EP with famed engineer and artist Ace Enders at The Living Room in Hammonton, NJ entitled 'Get Closer'.

‘Revolutions’ is available world-wide on iTunes and can be streamed for free on their bandcamp.com site. 'Get Closer' will be featured exclusively on widowmakersocialclub.com and will be available to download at a ‘pay what you want’ price.
Almshouse
Almshouse
Almshouse plays original americana-rock created by Irene Lambrou (vox), Troy Schoenmeier (guitar), Ken Belli (bass), Tony Winkler (guitar) & Tom Dorn (drums). The band’s 2016 album “Bitter Thing” is long in experience and deep with emotion, featuring songs that cycle through cynicism, passion, solitude, betrayal, mourning and a dreamy reverie about the beauty of it all. Since 2014, Almshouse has performed their own tunes plus carefully curated covers at World Cafe Live, Puck Live, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Northern Liberties Music Festival & more.
Medusa's Disco
Medusa's Disco
Medusa's Disco has been rocking together since June of 2012. In the early days, the band was known as "SEEDS" and played only acoustic sets. As time went on, Wynton, Alex, and Hunter decided to try plugging in and found that the electric sound was a greater canvas to paint their musical tones. Tyler joined the band as a bassist in August of 2012 and the band started writing music for their first album and playing shows in the central PA area. The band then released "Questioned By A Ghost" at The Chameleon Club in December of 2013.

Questioned By A ghost got several great reviews and helped gain them a lot of exposure in the tristate area. In the spring of 2014, SEEDS had to change their name due to legal reasons and settled on "Medusa's Disco". To solidify this name change with fans, "Medusa's Disco" released a music video for "Box Of Animals" and later in the summer a live album; Max J Variety Show. The band kept playing a large number of shows, many of which were in the surrounding states of PA.

In October of 2014, "Medusa's Disco" went back into the studio to record their second album; Forked Tongue Fables. The album was released on Jan 2nd 2015 to a rambunctious audience. Medusa's Disco is currently playing more shows in the tristate area and are planning very big things for 2015.
