Daniel DeJesus
Daniel de Jesús is a cellist, singer, and songwriter whose music pierces the heart with powerful vocals and mystical sounds of the cello. His music has often been compared to the work of Bjork, Tori Amos, and Jeff Buckley.
SLV
Sandra Lilia Velásquez and Sean Dixon, the Brooklyn-based duo behind SLV, embody a collision of worlds. Velásquez serves as frontwoman of lauded Latin outfit Pistolera, while Dixon plays drums in experimental electronic ensemble Zammuto; but together, they’ve carved out an exciting new path for themselves. SLV first emerged from the studio in 2013 with a debut EP, Dig Deeper, produced by heavyweight bassist Meshell Ndegeocello. Their full length debut,This Kind (released on 5.5.15), is a down-tempo confection of 80s-inspired synthpop and new wave, with Velásquez showcasing her continued growth as a songwriter and dreamy vocals that recall Sade’s smoky sensuality.
Agudos Clef
Agudos Clef is a Hip-Hop/ World Music duo composed of Josue Lora and Peter "Nota G" Rodriguez. Both artists are of Dominican decent but currently reside in Central NJ where they launch their debut Album "Teoria". The album can be best described into three words; Thoughts, views and feelings." Since their album release Agudos Clef has been touring the East Coast performing at several music festivals such as the Latin Alternative Music conference and Nuevofest.
Julia Lopez
Julia López is a multidisciplinary artist with a base in Theater and Poetry. She is a founding member of Las Gallas Artist Collective and has performed and exhibited throughout the United States, Mexico, Cuba, & Madrid, Spain. RetroLove will be presented by Philadelphia Jazz Project in June 2016.
DJ Dame Luz
South Bronx born and raised, Philly-based DJ and nightlife producer.
Los Bomberos de la Calle
Los Bomberos De la Calle is a Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena music group with a twist of reggaeton flow based in North Philadelphia.
